Edenmore Drug Intervention Team (EDIT) is a thriving community drug
team that provides support for people who are experiencing problems
because of their drug and alcohol use.
We are offering an exciting new post for an experienced person who is
committed and passionate about improving access to services for women,
and who understands the issues that impedes their participation in
drug and alcohol treatment and recovery.
Central to this new project will be the collaboration with existing
community structures such as primary health care centres and GPs where
services can be delivered for women at the point of contact, in both
addiction and non-addiction specific settings.
ESSENTIAL: CANDIDATES WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
* Minimum of a level 7 diploma in Community Drugs Work, Community
Addiction Studies, Social Sciences, Community Development, or related
field.
* Minimum of 2 years paid experience in a substance use setting.
* Experience in one-to-one evidence-based interventions
(motivational interviewing, CRA, CBT), care planning and case
management.
* Have a thorough knowledge of drug related issues and the specific
issues relating to women.
* Significant experience of inter-agency/collaborative working.
* Can demonstrate strong analytical and research skills in relation
to review and evaluation.
* Can clearly demonstrate organisational skills including time
management, communication, goal setting and so on.
* Effective written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills,
including IT skills.
* The post holder must have administration capacity to discharge the
functions of the post.
* The post holder must be personally motivated and be able to work
on their own initiative
* The post holder must have a full, clean drivers? licence and
access to a vehicle.
* FLEXIBILITY IN TERMS OF WORKING HOURS ? THE POST HOLDER WILL BE
REQUIRED TO PROVIDE SOME EVENING HOURS WHERE NECESSARY AND
APPROPRIATE.

This is a full-time 3-year fixed term contract subject to funding and
completion of a probationary period.
